Botswana's inflation rate in November 2025 was recorded at 3.8%, slightly below the 13-month peak of 3.9% reached in October. The deceleration in price increases was observable across various Consumer Price Index (CPI) categories, particularly in transportation (which eased to 5.6% from 6.2% in October), recreation and culture (from 1.3% to 0.6%), and health (dropping to 2.3% from 2.6%). Meanwhile, food prices maintained their growth at 5.5%, consistent with October's figures; and prices in housing and utilities continued on a downward trend, albeit at a marginally slower rate (-3% compared to -3.1% previously). Conversely, there were notable upticks in the costs of alcoholic beverages and tobacco (rising to 10% from 9.8%), as well as in miscellaneous goods and services (increasing to 8.8% from 8.4%). On a month-to-month basis, the CPI remained unchanged in November, following a 0.3% rise in the preceding month.
